Qualifying Criteria for Ph.D. Admission :
A candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in a subject must, at the time of application, hold Master’s degree in that subject with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade or M.Phil. degree of the University or any other University incorporated by any law for the time being inforce and recognized by the University.
Provided that for SC/ST candidates, 50% marks are required instead of 55%.
Provided further that a candidate, who has at least 7 years of experience of research/teaching with at least 5 papers published in standard research journals, may be permitted to get registered for Ph.D. degree, upto minimum 50% marks at the Master’s degree.
